Funding Options
Making Therapy Accessible
At Chatty Tots Speech Pathology, we want every family to access the support their child needs. We offer several funding pathways to make therapy more affordable and flexible. Below is an easy-to-follow guide to the most common options: Private Health Insurance, Medicare Plans, and the NDIS.

NDIS Funding
The
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) may fund speech pathology supports when they are reasonable and necessary to help a participant communicate and interact socially. Speech pathology is typically funded under Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living.
What the NDIS May Fund
- Communication and language assessments
- Ongoing therapy sessions
- Reports and progress reviews
- Home programs and parent/carer training
- Communication supports such as visuals, AAC systems, and alternative communication methods

GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP)
This is a Medicare scheme that provides 5 rebated Allied Health sessions for families per calendar year. Children must be referred by their GP for this plan and have ongoing chronic needs. Children must also require support from two health professionals to access this funding.
